Home Information Packs
Home Information Packs are required for all domestic properties being sold in England.
They contain a range of documents that give information about the property and it’s environment.
The following must be present:
* A dated index
* Energy Performance Certificate
* Sale Statement
* Evidence of Title
* Local Enquiries
* Drainage Search
There are other documents that are not only permitted but, arguably, add significant value to the HIP. These include:
* Home Condition Report
* Legal Summary
* Home Use Form
* Home Contents Form
* Guarantees and Warranties.
* Additional searches
As part of our HIP service we will supply Home Use and Content forms to the seller and encourage them to complete them so they can be incorporated in the pack as official documents. Sorting out simple things like this can speed up exchange considerably.
